Virtual Presentation Format

All abstracts should be prepared in advance and submitted online as guided by Abstract Submission system.
  • Total length of abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Please do NOT include any figures or tables.
Proposers are asked to choose a preferred presentation format from the list below. The final decision regarding the presentation format of each proposal will be made by the Scientific Steering Committee, authors will be informed at the end of March 2021.

Experience suggests that the virtual conference should be limited to no more than 5 hours a day in order to avoid screen exhaustion. Thus in order to fit in the maximum number of contributions into the reduced time frame it is likely that the number of plenary presentations will be reduced compared to a normal AMEMR and the number of discussion presentations increased.
  • Plenary presentations: Virtual presentations will be given live during a 15min slot with questions via chat. Preference will be given to proposals based on original work and/or descriptions related to the session theme. Extended graphical abstracts will be welcomed and posted on the conference site to maximise exposure.
  • Discussion presentation:Posters reporting novel or existing work will be shared through a virtual event, enabling multiple small group discussions via breakout rooms. Extended graphical abstracts will be welcomed and posted on the conference site to maximise exposure. The presenters will have the opportunity to summarise their work in a pre-recorded flash (max 2 min) talk, animation or other graphical formats.

With permission we will record contributions and post these on the conference site for the duration of the conference, maintaining chat streams for discussions. Graphical abstracts will be encouraged and made available before, during and after the conference.
